Hi! My name is Cat Nguyen. I'm a third year majoring in MCB. I joined Berkeley Project my second semester of freshmen year because I wanted to reach outside of the Berkeley bubble and into the community. Co-Web

Year: Sophomore

Major: Computer Science and Business Administration

How's it going, I'm Gaurav. I am a sophomore studying Computer Science and am also an intended Business Administration member. I joined Berkeley Project last semester as a Volunteer Committee Member and also happened to be a Project Leader as well the same semester. I had a blast doing both and I really wanted to continue giving back to the community and contributing to the city of Berkeley, and so Berkeley Project was the obvious choice.

Co-Web

Year: Junior

Major: Computer Science

Hello! I'm Stephanie, a third year CS major. I first joined the Berkeley Project as a volunteer where I found it was a great opportunity to give back to the community as well as spend time with friends. Throughout my time at Cal, I have realized how easy it is to lose sight of the community around us while enveloped in schoolwork and extracurriculars. The Berkeley Project is a great way for students to rekindle this connection with and make a difference in the local community.

Hey, I'm Charles, a sophomore studying economics. I joined Berkeley Project in my fall sophomore semester as a Volunteer Committee Member, and I had a great time. I wanted to be a part of something that made a positive impact in the community, and Berkeley Project was it. The people here are super chill and down to Earth. Come join us, or sign-up as a volunteer for BP day!!

Tong Shen

Co-Volunteer

Year: Sophomore

Major: Intended Business and Data Science

Hi, I'm Tong! I'm a second-year planning on majoring in Business Administration (we'll see how that goes) and Data Science. I've been part of the Berkeley Project since my first semester at Cal, and I've learned and grown so much because of it. The Berkeley Project really opened my eyes to the disparity between the Berkeley campus and the Berkeley community as a whole. BP is such an amazing and fulfilling experience for both students and communities all across Berkeley. Can't wait for you to join us and take part in this incredible mission!

Co-Site Planning

Year: Junior

Major: Integrative Biology

Hi my name is Nicole and I am one of the Co-Site Planning directors. I am an Integrative Biology major with a minor in Global Poverty and Practice. I joined Berkeley Project in my first semester at Cal and I fell in love with this club. I was initially enticed by its mission of bridging the gap between the campus and the community. I think it is important to take time out of our busy days every now and then and give back to the community. Berkeley Project provides students with an easy, organized way to thank the citizens of Berkeley for welcoming us to their city during the four short years that we are here.

Sally Kim

Sally Kim

Co-Site Planning

Year: Sophomore

Major: Operations Research and Management Science

Hi! I'm Sally and I first joined the Berkeley Project in my freshman year because I was interested in developing a stronger, more collaborative relationship between Cal students and Berkeley residents, especially as part of a population that takes up space in the community and contributes to Berkeley's gentrification. Outside of the Berkeley Project, I'm an avid dogspotter and am passionate about healthcare and homelessness. Feel free to hit me up about any questions or feedback!
