I joined the Berkeley Project my freshman year as a Site Leader. It was an odd experience to begin with as I, a lowly freshman, along with my Co-Chair Justin, were leading a group of Juniors and Seniors. We cleaned a heavily trashed area about the Ashby Bart where we found broken bottles, were careful of needles, and other things of the like. My main goal is to create a long lasting, sustainable relationship with the City of Berkeley and the students of Cal be it through service projects.
